Trainer Ralph Beckett saddled his first winner of the season at Salisbury after debutant Undiscovered prevailed in the opening 6f novice stakes on Tuesday.

The colt went to post the 5-6 favourite for the Raceshare Syndicate and was always prominent under Rossa Ryan before being shaken up over a furlong out to run on and score by two lengths.

Eve Johnson Houghton has admitted that her crop of two-year-olds have taken a little longer than she would have hoped to come through, but now she is beginning to reap the rewards after Flying Pirate became her fifth juvenile winner of the currant campaign by landing the second division of the novice stakes.

Running very green and hanging left inside the final furlong, the colt stayed on strongly to get up on the line under Charlie Bishop by a head from the 6-5 favourite Harry Knows.

There was a tight finish in the 6f handicap, with the David Evans trained Supreme King just doing enough under Ryan to bring up a double for the Irishman.

Lucky Luna has shown signs of some ability in her two starts so far, but today she got her head in front for the first time after making all to take the Class 4 novice stakes by half a length for Richard Hannon from the outsider of the party Siddal at 400-1.

Besieged was a promising length second of 9 at Kempton on debut and bumped into a good horse in the shape of Heyzoom at Newbury in the middle of May. However, the three-year-old finally broke his maiden tag after a comfortable 14 length success from 150-1 shot Easwrith Destiny at 150-1 in the 1m 2f 3yo maiden.

Regal Charm is a filly who goes well fresh. Today, after 228 days off the four-year-old landed the 1m 2f fillies handicap.

Rob Hornby had Regal Charm in a prominent position, before pulling clear in the final 110 yards to win comfortably by six and a half lengths for the Henry Candy yard.
