James Fanshawe continues his good form with double at Kempton Park

Peter Moore at Kempton Park 16th October 2023

Newmarket trainer James Fanshawe and jockey Daniel Muscutt completed a double on Monday evening at Kempton Park.

Muscutt was on board the favourite Envourager in the third race of the night and had to work hard to eek out victory by a short head over the Andrew Balding trained Screaming Eagle.

Fanshawe had to wait to the final race of the night to complete the double when top weight Annie Law prevailed by a head from Revolucion.

The Newmarket trainer is in fine form at the moment with five winners in the past week, all ridden by Muscutt.

Earlier on the nine race card, Summer Of Love backed up his encouraging fourth at this course on debut 24 days ago, by winning the maiden fillies stakes with Christian Howarth on board.

The horse won comfortably and is already looking a very promising sort under Saeed

Bin Suroor.

Enchanted lived up to his 475,000 gns price tag with an impressive run on debut. The Godolphin two year old is a sister to a very smart winner up 1m Gifted Master and was given the perfect ride by soon to be crowned champion jockey William Buick.
