Firey Bird Show, News 2999 Views
Thursday 7 December had Nick Hyde & David Raphael – The Sepia Swing Show Twins join the Fiery Bird Show on Radio Woking. Nick & David host the Midnight Special Blues Club the first Wednesday of every month; Attracting the great and good of the blues world to their intimate night in the back room of pub next to a small railway station, it is a gem of live music on our local landscape. Receiving 20 applications a week for one slot a month shows how highly esteemed the show is and with bookings right up until June 2018 you can check their website for who is playing well in advance.
Veterans of music themselves, David played in many bands notably Woking based Panther a mixture of pre-punk/Dr Feelgood vibe and Nick too cites many experiences in different bands over the years. They both state they like to keep the experience fresh and exciting and enjoy collaborations with other musicians either as one of sessions or a more regular get together.
Currently as well as running the Midnight Special Blues Club, Nick is also in Uncle Buck a British blues soul and funk band and David having had his David Raphael Band and years of success now also works with The Robin Bibi Band. You can listen again to the show here and catch up with their work via their different sites on the links above
