Matt is a seasoned professional with over 25 years’ experience in Radio. His passion for broadcasting started in community and hospital radio as an 18-year-old, he has been an active DJ ever since. Matt covers numerous areas including local news, interviews, sports journalism, and entertainment. His trademark relaxed style comes from, in his own words, “Just wanting to have fun on air”.

Matt’s passion for music comes across in all his shows and he is always keen to share his experiences with his listeners, so you can always expect a hilarious anecdote or three!

Matt presents Thursday Drive alongside long-time friend and broadcast sidekick Alexandra. Alexandra admits that her time in the media, both featuring on the radio and also in Bollywood movies all came about by accident. She is very creative and passionate about the arts and is a self-proclaimed jack-of-all-trades. A big fan of an inspirational quote, Alexandra is in charge of all reflections, poems and thoughts for the day on the show! Also, thanks to her keen eye for detail, Alexandra will be the one bringing you all your travel updates to help you on your way home.
