Midweek Wednesday at Kempton Park proved a popular evening form in form trainer Richard Hughes and jockey Alec Voikhansky.
Hughes bought up his eighth winner in the past 21 runners when Cinnodin was victorious in the 1m 7f handicap.
Under in for jockey Finley Marsh, who has now had seven winners out of 15 rides a 46% strike rate, the four-year-old was given the perfect ride by Marsh to beat Zoran by a length and three quarters.
Hughes, who currently holds a 35% strike rate completed an across the card double when No Half Measures won at Wolverhampton earlier in the day.
Meanwhile, claimer Alec Voikhansky rode out his five pound allowance by bringing up his 50th winner when Mr Baloo got the better of Oisin Murphy on Berkshire Nugget at 15-2 for trainer Richard Hannon in the 7f handicap.
Half an hour earlier, Murphy rodye Ernie’s Valentine to victory in the 1m handicap. The five year-old was back to his last winning mark and also appreciated the galloping track.
In the opener on the card, Kodibeat with Daniel Tudhope on board just got her nose in front by a neck from Spirited Dancer on her debut for Paul and Oliver Cole.
The filly was foaled in May and is a half-sister to several winners along with being bred to be speedy. The novice two-year-old showed a quick turn of pace to run on well and looks a promising two-year-old in the making.
The move up in trip paid of for the John & Thady Gosden three-year-old Jayyash who justified favouritism in the 1m novice stakes.
The colt had run twice before, running on at Southwell over 7f 27 days ago. This time going one better after beating Goodwood Odyssey by a length.
Raf Beckett’s three-year-old Going The Distance was making h-is handicap bow and didn’t disappoint under Rossa Ryan. The gelding was up in trip and relished the extra distance to win by one and three quarter lengths from the Charlie Johnston trained filly True Wisdom.
