Jon Andrews and Matt Seaby present a tribute to Lara on Sunday 31st January. Jon tells us about Lara, and the show on Sunday.

“Lara Mcnamee was the woman of my dreams. ever since I first met her at the Epsom Christmas lights in 2014 it has been a fairy tale relationship with a tragic twist. Lara passed away from complications from Covid over Christmas. She leaves behind a devastated family and also her wider family in the community too.

Lara on Sunday was Lara’s show. She built it up to what it is and had an impressive selection of guests talking about all sorts of things often connected to the Woking community which she later called home after moving to Woking with me in 2019.

In Lara’s memory myself and some of my colleagues at Radio Woking will keep Lara on Sunday running. It returns this weekend with a three hour tribute for Lara. Matt Seaby and I will be sharing stories, memories and Lara’s favourite music. People from the community have sent in their messages which have been so heartfelt and a comfort to me at this time. These will be included on the show.

We celebrate and look at Lara’s life through radio – a medium she adored.

Lara leaves a big void in all our lives but we have her legacy and that will live on forever.”
