Trainer AnthonyHoneyball and jockey David Bass both brought up doubles at Kempton Park on Monday afternoon.

The Beaminster trainer saddled Coquelicot to victory in the feature race of the day and backed this up with Brookie in the last race on the card.

Meanwhile it was a profitable afternoon for jockey Bass who rode his fourth winner in his last five rides with success on Destroy The Evidence and Secret Squirrel.

The opening race of the afternoon was won by the impressive Captain Marvellous who bolted up in the 2 mile juvenile hurdle by 23 lengths.

There was a big shock in the third race on the card, a novice steeple chase with just two runners going to post, the Nicky Henderson trained First Street was having his first race over fences, but still started off odds on at 1-7.

What was expected to be a comfortable victory didn’t materialise after Bourbali- who had already raced over fences for the first time at Exeter seven days ago- proved to strong for First Street with jockey Brendan Powell always in control to go on and win comfortably by 22 lengths.

The feature race of the day was won by Coquelicot who displayed a perfect round of jumping under Rex Dingle after making all to win by six lengths.

Secret Squirrel certainly proved to be a family affair for the Morrison family. The horse is trained by Hughie Morrison, while his wife Mary bred and owns the striking four year old, who looks destined for bigger and better races to come.
