The We Love Woking Show 9/2/2022 – Marie Howse talks WSB Events/Paul Weller visits Shah Jahan Mosque

On this week’s We Love Woking Show…

Wednesday 9th February 2022.

Charity Events are Back!

Our guest this week is Marie Howse from Woking & Sam Beare Hospice and Wellbeing Care.

Over the lockdowns, with all the restrictions, there were no events happening anywhere. This really affected the hospice, and all our local charities, as their events are one of the main sources of fundraising and raising awareness for what they do.

We spoke to Marie during this time, in one of our pre recorded shows, as the studios were closed, like most places.

That was then.

The events are back, and Marie will be telling us all about the great line up they have in store for 2022, including their Skydive & WingWalks, The Dragon Boat Race, Festive Fun Run and lots more.

Plus we’ll hear about the great work they continue to do, and the services they provide, caring for those with life limiting and terminal illnesses.

She has chosen her 6 songs, and we’ll be playing these inbetween our chat.

In the 2nd hour, we have a phone in chat with Mohammed Habib, Manager at Shah Jahan Mosque, about the visit from Paul Weller, his sister Nicky and their lovely mum Ann, who used to be the caretaker at the Mosque in the 1950’s.

For the best local guests, chat, events and music – Join us every Wednesday, 6-8pm, LIVE on Radio Woking.
