The main race of the night was the Try Unibet’s Improved Bet Builder Handicap Stakes over 7f four four-year-old and upwards with inform trainer Richard Hughes picking up his eighth winner in the past 14 days with Zero Carbon getting his nose in front of Hickory to maintain the Upper Lambourn’s impressive strike rate which now reads a healthy 44%.

David Probert lead home a Godolphin 1-2-3 in the 1m 2f fillies novice stakes when he steered the outsider of the three Sahara Snow home to win by half a length on his debut from his stable companion Winter Snowfall under William Buick, to give trainer Charlie Appleby the winner and second.

Amongst other highlights from the night, included Brioni breaking his maiden tag at the third attempt from the Alan King yard with Rossa Ryan on board, James Doyle getting Mighty Nebula up to win after 11 months off the track and an impressive performance from the Andrew Balding trained Celtic Warrior to prevail under Oisin Murphy in the 7f maiden stakes.
