The five pound claimer scored on his first ride in England by steering Soldiers Design to victory at Brighton and hasn’t looked back since after signing up to Newmarket trainer Owen.

Elsewhere, on a night of mixed racing with three races on the AW and three on turf, The Dean Ivory four year old My Mate Mike appreciated the switch back to AW after claiming the class 6 seven furlongs handicap under Laim Keniry by half a length from Thoughtful Gift.

The consistent Mart backed up his latest success at Newmarket less than a week ago by taking the second race on the card. It was a tight finish with the grey just getting up to beat Invincible Speed by a nose for trainer Dylan Cunha.

There was another thrilling finish with the next race of the evening when bottom weight Fai Fai under George Rooke narrowly got the better of Lilkian to win by a neck.
