Holocaust Memorial day, St. Bride & Imbolc, Candlemass – THE VIEW FROM HERE

Sunday 31st January 2016

9am – 12noon

Looking both backwards and forwards we enter the next phase of the year as we ‘spring’ into Imbolc on 1st February.

9am – Gill Hyams from the Surrey History Centre guides us through a Holocaust Memorial Day commemorative exhibition www.exploringsurreyspast.org.uk/hmd-2016

10am – Heather Upfield has been researching sites dedicated to St Bride/St Bridget in Scotland for a number of years. She was dedicated as a Priestess of Brighid on St Bride’s Mound Glastonbury in 2010, and as well as devotion to Bride, she follows a Druid path intertwined with core Christian beliefs and regularly sings in the choir of a local Scottish Episcopal Church.

11am – Richard Bailey, priest at St. Francis of Assissi in Camberley, shares thoughts of Candlemass.
