The Ollie Sangster trained two-year-old colt Bob Marli made it three wins in a row to land the 6f Class 2 Joan Snow Memorial Conditions Stakes on the final day of racing at Salisbury for 2024.
The son of Sands Of Mali landed his first two victories at Ayr and Chester and continued his winning run to win by a length and a quarter under James Doyle, despite hanging left in the closing stages of the race.
The ownership group is named after Portsmouth FC’s nickname and Bob Mali’s victory was a welcome tonic after the Championship club’s 6-1 defeat at Stoke on Wednesday.
After the race trainer Sangster said that the horse will now be aimed at the Horris Hill Stakes in a bid to maintain his unbeaten record.
Ralph Beckett continued his impressive strike rate with his two-year-olds this season with a double at the track.

Malpas trainer Hugo Palmer has an impressive strike rate at the Wiltshire track, and added to his tally by saddling Nariko to win the 6f handicap under champion jockey elect Oisin Murphy.
Palmer, has now saddled 10 winners from 22 runners at Salisbury with a very healthy 43% strike rate.
Murphy was quick to ride his second winner of the afternoon by steering Berkshire Sundance to victory in the 1m 6f handicap to give the Irishman his 148th winner of the season.
