Gary & Josh Moore continue their love for Lingfield after completing a double on Monday

By Peter Moore at Lingfield Park Monday 4th August 2025

The joint training partnership of Gary & Josh Moore have enjoyed the last 48 hours at Lingfield after completing their second double in two days.

Following on from the success on Saturday of Fascinating Lips and Autumn’s Breeze, the duo saddled Semser and Big Bard to victory on Monday afternoon at the Surrey track.

The eight-year-old Semser kept finding more inside the final furlong under Rhys Clutterbuck to go on and win by three quarters of a length from Capallcliste.

The double was duly completed when Big Bard- waering blinkers for the first time-took the 6f handicap under 7lb claimer Ashley Lewis who was having his third winning ride in the last couple of days.

Stephanie Cassidy enjoyed her second winner as a trainer when So Chic stormed home to land a 40-1 shock victory in the second division of the mile handicap.

Back on the all-weather surface, the five-year-old came from behind to pass all of her nine rivals under claimer Liam Wright.

Trainer Joseph Patrick O’Brien was making a rare trip to Lingfield after entering Teewinot in the 7f maiden fillies stakes.

Having already had two runs this season, including a promising second at Leopardstown 11 days when she finished runner up, the two-year-old was sent off a long odds-on favorite at 2-11.

Despite the odd alarm, the filly managed to find a little extra at the finish to win by half a length and claim a welcome Goffs 50,000 euros bonus for winning the race.

The yard of Simon & Ed Crisford is in red hot form at the moment and made it eight winners from their last 23 runners at a strike rate of 37% when Hachiman took the opener on the card.

The son of Frankel produced an electric turn of foot to claim the 1m maiden by a neck after Jo Gordon found a gap with the gelding responding instantly.
