THE VIEW FROM HERE

Sunday 8th February

09.00 – 12 noon

This week we shall follow through on some of the creative themes and environmental topics of last week but from a different perspective.

9.00 After introducing some events that are on in the area, I (Sharon) shall give a guide as to why sound and music is so important.  The effects it has on our physical and mental states is crucial and it is therefore essential that we monitor the sound and music we subject ourselves to.

10.00 – 12noon Emily will tell us about her workshops “Songs of Hope” wherein she encourages people to use their innate creativity to write songs. A particular aspect of this is to encourage groups who are interested in social justice and ecological issues to find a voice. Emily’s band is joining us in the recording studio and will be playing live throughout this part of the show. We shall explore the interests and sources of inspiration of the band members.
