February is LGBT month (Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual, Transgender) and THE VIEW FROM HERE looks at events and support in Woking. For Valentine’s Day a love story with a twist!

9am – Glenna & Annie join us to tell us of their remarkable love which grows through confusing and difficult times. This is a heartfelt transgender story of honouring oneself and each other regardless of the ‘norms’. 

10am – Jennie Gale from the Surrey Community Connections team explores the Surrey Library project “Out Lit”. This is a collection of LGBT literature which has paved the way toward equality and acceptance. www.surreycc.gov.uk/libraries/outlit

11am – Kay joins us from ‘Outline’ Surrey’s support and information help line for advice, guidance and support with LGBT issues across Surrey. www.outlinesurrey.org
