The WLW Show 6/9/17 – WAOS presents ‘A Night of Musical Cabaret’

On Tonight’s We Love Woking Show…

Another fully packed show!

From 8-9pm We’re joined by Sam Moylan-Heydt from Woking Amateur Operatic Society and we’ll be talking about their upcoming ‘A Night of Musical Cabaret’ fundraiser show, which takes place Fri 22 – Sat 23rd September.

We’ll hear about what’s in store for the audience, buying tickets and what they are raising money for. We’ll learn some more about the group, and the kind of shows they put on, and how to join up for all those interested.

Like all guests, Sam has also chosen 3 songs, and we’ll be hearing these between our chat.

9-10pm we continue the local chat with events and happenings from around the area – And as always there’s loads going on!

This week we’ll mention Celebrate Woking Heritage Open Days. There are loads of places taking part, including Brookwood Cemetary, WWF Living Planet Centre, The Peace Garden at The Muslim Burial Ground, St Columbas House, The Lightbox and The Shah Jehan Mosque with whom we’ll be having a phone in about their open day.

Jackie and Hadley went along to a special VIP opening party at Taco Bell UK(which opens today) so we’ll hear how that went.

The York Road Project are having a Sleep Out this weekend & we have a phone in with Cath Stamper to learn more.

PLUS one of our university goers, Leo, need helps with his dissertation!

He has a questionnaire relating to the public’s attitude towards renewable energy and the relationship this has to their attachment to place. It’s a study he’d like to focus in his hometown….and that’s where WE come in.

All that…..And More!

Join Jackie WitneyTimothy Buckler and myself, as we continue our We Love Woking Mission, with local guests, chat, events and lots of music mixed in.
