The WLW Show 28/7/2021

On Tonight’s ‘We❤Woking Show’…

In December last year, one of fellow presenters, Lara Mcnamee, passed away. In her memory, Jon Andrews, also one of our fellow presenters, set up a Just Giving page, with all proceeds going towards an allotment used by the Sunnybank Trust, based in Epsom, where Lara was originally from.

The money was used to create a shelter, and also to help make the site accessible for all of it’s wonderful users. I joined Jon, his Mum Lesley and Claire Dawson from The Sunnybank Trust to put in place a plaque in Lara’s memory, on what would have been her birthday.

We recorded a short interview with Jon and Claire to mark the occassion.

After talking with Sensei Ciaran Mitchell from TheDojo Woking a few months ago on the show….last Friday, I popped down for a taster session, to see what it’s all about, and decide what I’d like to train in.

Went back yesterday to record a quick chat with Ciaran about it and hear a little more about what training at The Dojo is all about.

All that, plus more local chat, events and happenings – and of course, great music!
