The WLW Show 13/5/2020 – #lockdown Episode 2

On Tonight’s We Love Woking Show…

We continue our journey, speaking with more great people, doing wonderful things around the Woking area.

In the first hour, we chat with Cath Stamper, CEO York Road Project, a homeless charity based in Woking. We learn what effect lockdown and the whole Covid situation had on the number of homeless people needing their services, and how amazing Woking Council have been in helping them. Plus she chose a brilliant song, will we’ll play after.

2nd hour, we catch up with Horsell resident Helen Cammack, who along with a fantastic team came up with the idea for Horsell Prepared. We speak a little about when they started, how they looked to help the community in times of trouble, and how the current situation affected them. She also speaks about their phone buddy service, and their work with Horsell Care, amongst others, followed by a song for them all.

In between all that, we have lots more local chat, a few birthday shout outs…..and some cool music to take you into the evening.
