Our guest this week is Marilyn Scott MBE, who until Nov 2021, was Director of The Lightbox.
We’ll be looking back over her 20 years at The Lightbox, starting in 2001 when it was the Woking Museum and Arts and Crafts Centre, a small charity founded by 70 local people, on a mission to bring the arts and heritage to Woking.
We’ll hear about their journey, the idea for the gallery, working with Woking Council, raising funds, the numerous awards The Lightbox has won over the years, their Arts and Wellbeing programmes, introduced by Marilyn in 2007, her favourite exhibitions and moments, her MBE and lots more.
We’ll be giving mentions to all the people, staff and volunteers over the years, who have helped make The Lightbox what it is.
Marilyn has also selected some fantastic songs, and we’ll be hearing these inbetween our chat.
