On tonight’s We Love Woking Show…
Our guest this evening is Rachelle Barnett who is Head of Fundraising and Communications at The Halow Project.
The Halow Project is a charity that supports young people, 16+ around the Guildford area, but starting in September, they’ll also be covering Woking too!
Since 2006 they have helped their service users to access opportunities, to enjoy life and socialise, learn key life skills, develop their talents and build their confidence through meaningful activities and help them towards living as independently as possible.
We’ll be finding out about their workstream – ‘A Reason to Get Up’ and Crafty Creations in Woking , which will be taking place at The Lightbox.
Plus we’ll chat about some of their fundraising events, how the charity matches up their service users with buddy’s, the things they do and lots more.
As with all guests, we ask for 6 songs, and these were chosen by their young people for this week’s online disco, and we’ll be playing them inbetween our chat.
