REPLAY: We Love Woking Show – 24/3/2021

On this week’s ‘We❤Woking Show’

Joining us this week…

First up is Kerry Harrison who runs photography business KERRYJ PHOTOGRAPHY.
We first spoke to Kerry over 5 years ago, when this show was in its very early days, so it was really lovely to catch up.

We hear how lockdown affected her business, and how she adapted the way she works to meet the new challenges. She talks about her virtual shoots, raising money for Woking Foodbank, her creative images and ideas bundles and her plans as we come out of lockdown.

Our 2nd guest is President of Woking Lions, Paul Robinson. He tells us a little about the history of the Lions organisation, who serve their communities, locally, nationally and internationally.

We learn about the Woking branch and the work they have been doing around our area for many years. Including their annual Martian Run, Woking Christmas Lunch at Moorcroft, their recent online Wine tasting event and also their ‘History of Woking and district’ online talk, presented by local historian, David Rose – happening this Thursday, 25th March 7.30pm.

Paul also speaks about their team, and how they are adapting to new ways of doing things, and their search for more members.

Plus we have a special announcement from Fiery Bird Live Music Venue, which we can’t mention here, as it will not be public knowledge until after 10am Weds. So by the time the show goes out, it will be ok.
We also remind you how you can help them secure some funding for the venue.

There’s a special shout out for Slug & Lettuce Woking and ‘The List’ is getting longer, with more names being added.

We bring all that together with a fine selection of music for you, with some brilliant song choices from our guests.

Join us 6-8pm every Wednesday on Radio Woking.
