The We Love Woking Show 16/3/22 – Julie Fisher, CEO Woking Borough Council

On this week’s We Love Woking Show…

Wednesday 16th March 2022.

It’s been nearly a year since Julie Fisher was appointed CEO of Woking Council, so we’ve invited her to join us in the studio to learn more about her, and to talk about Woking as it is, and what the future holds for us all.

There’s lots to discuss and talk about, including Victoria Way, traffic, the new proposed development for Goldsworth Road, the Bridge widening, dual carriageway and how it will affect the town.

With Victoria Place opening up on the 23rd March, we’ll also be talking about that, Julie’s team, highlights from her first year in the role, and her mission to engage with residents and the local community to work together going forwards.

Over the years, many of our guests have mentioned how the Council has helped them, and we’ll be looking at and talking about the great stuff they do, from awards presentations, events and helping local charities and organisations to the services they provide us, and lots more.

It’s going to be a very interesting chat, and although there are some serious issues to discuss, we’re gonna get through it, as we usually do on the show – with fun, laughter and lots of great music.

Julie has selected her inspirational, feel good and love songs, and we’ll hear these inbetween our chat.

Join us Wednesday, LIVE 6-8pm on Radio Woking. Online and DAB.
