ANTHONY LIMBRICK was left frustrated with his side’s lack of clinical finishing as Woking played out a goalless draw at out-of-form Halifax Town on Saturday afternoon.
The Woking boss made two changes from the 1-1 draw against Bury in the FA Cup, with top-scorer Joe Ward and previous stand-in captain Chez Isaac dropped to the bench.

Inih Effiong and Jamie Philpot again started together, but the Cards failed to produce any clear-cut chances until the closing stages of the game at the Shay, and Limbrick highlighted the issue.
He told Woking FC TV: “It was a frustrating game in the final third for all players, be it the full-backs getting down the outside or the through balls with the front players.”
“It was frustrating for them and we couldn’t quite get that opening and work the goalkeeper enough, and with a little bit more quality and composure we could have opened them up.”

Woking have never lost to the Shaymen since their reintroduction into the National League in 2013/14, and headed into the game on the back of three consecutive league defeats.
Former Cards loanee Tom Denton had a glorious chance to win it for the hosts, but failed to convert in an afternoon where goalkeeper Nathan Baxter was again untroubled throughout.
The Chelsea loanee hasn’t been called into action much in the previous games, but Limbrick was satisfied with the clean sheet after conceding eight goals in his side’s last three league games.

Speaking about Baxter, Limbrick added: “In the last three league games, he hasn’t had that much work to do, however, we have been conceding goals. The fact that he didn’t have much to do was a positive, and also the fact that we kept that clean sheet adds to that.”
“We cant keep saying he hasn’t had much to do but then keep conceding goals so I was really pleased with the defence and how they defended today and that’s not just the back four.”
“The protection in front from Joey Jones and Kane Ferdinand was good and the whole team really worked hard for that point, even though we didn’t work the goalkeeper enough, we’re still take the point and a clean sheet.”
