The WLW Show 3/6/2020 – #Lockdown Episode 5

On Tonight’s We Love Woking Show…

Lockdown – Episode 5

We continue our adventure, and this week we have 3 more fantastic guests for you.

First up, we speak with Joanne Alam, a local artist from West Byfleet about Cup of JoJo – The ART of Being and Transformation
We hear what inspired her journey into art, her work teaching recreational and also therapeutical art, her students, and how art can be a catalyst to help us deal with hidden pain or trauma.
We also chat about life in lockdown with her family, her counselling work and more.

Next, we speak with Tracey Carter from Eden Greens Urban Farm about their local family business. We learn about micro greens and their benefits, Eden Greens grow your own kits, and talk about how lockdown affected them, and how they, like lots of small businesses, have adapted with the times to evolve the ways they work and reach out to the local community.

Our last guest tonight is a We Love Woking show regular, a local musician, she’s been with us in the studio about 3 times since we started , nearly 6 years ago – it’s the very talented and awesome Anna Neale.

We’ll be chatting about, and giving first play of her new single ‘Anarchy’ , out on 12/6/20.

We learn about the song, how it came together, and we speak about the effects of Covid and lockdown on the music industry, on artists like Anna and live musics events going forwards.

As well as that, it’s #VolunteersWeek, so we’ll be giving a massive shout and a song for all of you out there, who give your time, energy and love to others as volunteers……You are all Amazing, and many organisations, charities and people would not be able to survive without You. ❤

Join Annalise and Zahir this evening, and every Wednesday, 6-8pm on Radio Woking.
