The WLW Show 2/5/2018 – WAOS Presents ‘9 to 5 – The Musical’

On Tonight’s We Love Woking Show….

We welcome Beth Flitton back to the Radio Woking Studio’s.  Beth is a part of Woking Amateur Operatic Society (WAOS) and will be telling us all about their latest production ‘9 to 5 – The Musical’ , showing at The Rhoda Mcgaw Theatre from the 8th – 12th May.

We’ll be learning about the show, the actors and  how it’s all been coming together. Also find out a little about WAOS, and how to get involved.  Beth has selected her 3 song choices, and we’ll be playing these in between our chat.

In the second hour, we continue with events and happenings from around the area. Tomorrow are the local elections all around Woking.  If you are unhappy with things, this is your chance to have your say.  Woking Borough has been selected to take part in a Voter ID trial, to supposedly combat voter fraud.  It is a very controversial issue, and there are many who share concerns that it may put people off voting.

The Electoral Reform Society will want to speak to people from Friday, who were prevented from voting.  We will be posting the information once received. Hopefully tonight we will have a phone in on the subject and learn more from them.

As well as that, we have lots of events from around the area, and some cool music to take you into the evening.

Join Jackie and Zahir , 6-8pm on Radio Woking.
