On Tonight’s We Love Woking Show…….

2016 marks 150 years since the birth of H.G Wells. It was while living here in Woking, that he came up with the idea and wrote one of his most popular works of science fiction – The War of The Worlds.

Our guest’s from 8pm are Riette Thomas from Celebrate Woking and Horsell Resident Tony Kremer. They will be talking to us about Wells in Woking. a programme of events to commemorate and celebrate the occasion.

We’ll find out how the idea came about, how it developed, and about all those involved to bring it all together.   Riette will also be telling us more about Celebrate Woking, and she has chosen 3 songs which we’ll be hearing in between our chat.
