From local politics to coping with a chronic pain condition …

9am – Nick Scales will talk about “Pankhurst Picnic in the Park” events which are being organised around the country to celebrate Emmeline Pankhurst’s achievements with the suffragette movement. The focus now is upon reforming the present voting system. Our nearest event is being held in Gostrey Meadows in Farnham from 12 – 3pm on Sunday 26th July. www.unlockdemocracy.org

11am Laura Gould has set up a support group for those suffering from chronic pain and ‘invisible’ illness. Facing Illness Together has a community membership of 2,500 people. Meetings take place in New Haw and cover the Woking area. Laura will explain the problems and difficulties faced by people living with these conditions. www.facingillness.wix.com/f-i-t
