A mix of celebrations on The View From Here

9am – 12noon

This week we have an exciting mix of celebrations to share, from local to national to global… enJOY!

9am – Devdan Sen will be joining us to tell us about the HINDU NEW YEAR celebrations which actually takes place on the 21st March and is followed a week later by RAMA NAVAMI the birth of the god Rama. The whole celebration runs over 9 days and we shall hear about the festivities involved.

10am – *last minute change Toni Allen (astrologer) will be updating us on the relevance of the solar eclipse and the vernal equinox. As I (Sharon) was in Cornwall for the eclipse I shall relate my experience of the phenomenon. We shall look at the likely repercussions and meanings of these and other cosmic influences at this time. http://www.toniallen.co.uk

11am – Melissa Hobbs will be talking to us about MEAT FREE WEEK which runs from 23rd-29th March. Melissa will tell us about the health implications, ecological and economic repercussions of eating as much meat as we do in UK.
