Woking welcome Barrow to the Laithwaite Community Stadium this weekend in what will be the final game before Christmas, with the Cards looking to spread some festive cheer to its supporters.

Manager Anthony Limbrick will be expecting a better performance after last week’s disappointing display against Maidenhead United in the FA trophy when they slipped to a 2-0 defeat to go out at the first hurdle.

Limbrick was evidently not happy with his side’s performance, as he summarised to reporters afterwards. He said: “We were below par, we were below the level and we just were not good enough”.

The hosts are on a poor run of form lately having not won in their last four games, losing three f them and collecting just one point in the process as they look to rediscover the form that saw them move up to third earlier in the season.

Barrow were winless in their first ten away games of the season and currently sit just above the relegation places. They have come into form away from home recently as they have  won their last four away matches with the most recent being last Saturday in the FA trophy.

The Bluebirds progressed to the Second Round with a narrow win over Nuneaton, thanks to a 92nd minute winner from striker Byron Harrison.

On loan Bristol City keeper Jojo Wollacot made his debut for the Cards last weekend and is expected to start again on Saturday due to Nathan Baxters injury.

Louis Ramsay and Fabio Saraiva could possibly make a return for the Cards after missing last week’s defeat whilst Jason Banton could be rewarded with his first start since the defeat to Bromley in October.

Bobson Bawling is a the only longterm absentee.

Woking and Barrow met three times last season with two being score draws – the most recent meeting Woking suffered a 3-0 defeat after Jordan White scored a double after Adi Yussef opened the scoring for the home side.
