ANTHONY LIMBRICK will take his Woking side to Halifax tomorrow afternoon as the Cards look to end a run of three straight defeats in the National League.

After consecutive away losses at Bromley and then Dover, the Cards should have bounced back at home to Guiseley last weekend, only for defensive errors to condemn them to a 3-2 loss.

Despite a poor week, Woking remain eighth in the National League, just five points off the top of the table, one place outside the play-off positions.

In addition, Limbrick’s young side have never lost to their Northern counterparts since their promotion back into the National League in the 2012/13 season.

They will face a Halifax side going through a poor run of form themselves, having not won in their last seven matches in all competitions, a run stretching back to 23 September. Despite this, Billy Heath’s men are just four points off the play-offs, lingering down in 15^th position.

Woking will be boosted with the return of both Jason Banton and Fabio Saraiva to the squad, whilst Kane Ferdinand will return from his three-match suspension.

Charlie Carter and Bobson Bawling are reported to be close to full fitness and may make the squad, but Josh Staunton and Louis Ramsay are both absent with ankle injuries.

The Cards have picked up victories in each of their last three league meetings against the Shaymen, more recently in October 2015, when Dan Holman scored a brace in a 3-0 victory for the Cards.

In each of those ties, on players has gone on to score two of more goals in a game, with Adam Newton netting a brace in the 3-1 win in November 2014, and Jack Marriott scoring a hat-trick as the Cards won 4-3 in December 2013.

Halifax have also been handed a boost themselves for the clash at The Shay, bringing in 21-year-old defender Josh Clackstone from Hull City on a one-month loan deal.
