Radio Woking Launches at 6pm on the internet on Monday 25th November 2013.

The internet station is going to feature world news plus local news and information for the local community, plus many specialist music programmes for a world audience.

On launch day we will open with the Mayor of Woking Cllr Anne Roberts, plus special guest Rick Buckler, drummer from Woking’s legendary band The Jam!

Based at The Winston Churchill School, Radio Woking takes over from the popular school station Yay Radio, which has run for close to two years featuring some very talented students from the school.  Unlike Yay Radio, Radio Woking will not only feature the schools student presenters but will also have presenters from the local community hosting a vast array of specialist programmes and features not heard on commercial or national radio – all with a real local flavour.
