Jon is no stranger to the microphone having been a presenter on a local radio for over 20 years.

Jon presents Wednesday breakfast 7am to 9am on Radio Woking. This is a fast paced programme featuring music, chat, guests and his infamous Breakfast Brain Freeze question of the week.

Jon is proud to present on the radio station that serves the town he loves and calls home. He has lived in Woking all his life and has many memories of the town as it has evolved over the years.

It was his dad who sparked his interest in the wireless, as a child Jon was fascinated by his dads interest in off-shore radio stations, and even got to visit the Radio Caroline ship in the 90s.

Jon remembers being taken to Radio road shows and studio visits around the local area when he was younger too.

At school during a drama lesson, Jon was asked to produce a radio play using the very complex system of a double take recorder and a steady hand on the pause button. ‘This was the moment that i knew I wanted to be on the radio’.

He has been involved in various radio projects over the years, joining the Radio Woking team in 2017.

Away from radio, Jon is engaged to fellow Radio Woking Sunday presenter Lara Mcnamee.

Jon works as a support worker with adults with learning disabilities. The people Jon supports regularly interact with Jon on air, and visit the studio to take part in the show, this helps them with their confidence and communication.
